McDonald’s is launching a line of limited-time holiday drinks on Nov. 3, filled with festive flavors like cranberry and cookie butter.
The Chicago-based burger giant joins a number of restaurant chains that are getting an early start on the holiday season this year.
Here’s a preview of the beverage lineup coming next week:
-
Frosted Cranberry Splash with Sprite infuses the lemon-lime soda with orange and cranberry flavors, topped with cold foam and cranberry sprinkles.
-
Red Bull Frosted Cranberry Energizer combines frosted cranberry with cold foam and sprinkles with the energizing boost of Red Bull to give consumers a lift during the holiday rush. It’s available with classic Red Bull and Red Bull Zero.
-
Cookie Butter Frappé, Latte, and Iced Coffee are a creamy blend of rich cookie butter flavor topped with caramel cookie crumbs and sweet vanilla whip.
McDonald’s has been actively expanding its beverage lineup this year across its nearly 14,000 U.S. locations, launching a collection of refreshers, dirty sodas, and energy drinks in May. Franchisees are even introducing a new beverage specialist role to the team to make sure the drinks are made consistently, Restaurant Business Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Maze reported back then.
Beverage innovation is taking off this holiday season, with menu developers going beyond traditional peppermint and gingerbread to offer a different take on festive flavors. And consumers are all in, eager to overlap cranberry and cookie butter drinks with their pumpkin spice.
