Kitchen + Kocktails to open Times Square location on Oct. 3

The rapidly growing Southern food concept Kitchen + Kocktails is scheduled to make its New York City debut in Times Square this October.
Scheduled to open Oct. 3 at 7 Times Square, the upscale-casual comfort food concept said it already has more than 4,000 bookings for the restaurant, which will be the eighth location.
Kitchen + Kocktails was founded in Dallas in 2020 by attorney Kevin Kelley, who set out to elevate Southern food classics paired with an innovative bar program. Kitchen + Kocktails now has locations in Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Miami, and a location is on deck for Boston. Later this year, Kitchen + Kocktails will also open in New Orleans, the company said.
“The response from New York has been incredible,” said Kelley, in a statement. “To see thousands of guests making plans to experience Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley before we’ve even opened our doors means a lot to us. We’re ready to welcome New York and give this city an experience worth coming back for.”

The New York location will be the biggest yet at about 10,000-square feet in a two-story space with multiple dining rooms and a bar, as well as private dining.
Kelley, who shared growth plans on the Menu Talk podcast earlier this year, said the menu is very similar across all locations, and is known for classics like Blackened Shrimp and Grits, Fried Chicken and Waffles, Fried Catfish, Caribbean Jerk Lamb Chops, and Trinity Egg Rolls — which are stuffed with mac and cheese and fried.
On the bar side, a signature drink is the Peach D’ussé Frosé, made with Cognac, and the True Flame, with a live flame presentation, as well as the 24K Gold Fashioned, made with edible gold flake.
