Brooklyn-based brand platform Next In Natural has acquired Three Trees, a Californian producer of organic nut and seed milks made without gums, oils, thickeners or emulsifiers. The deal is Next In Natural’s first acquisition in plant-based dairy, and financial terms were not disclosed, according to BevNET.

“Shoppers are reading labels more closely than ever, and Three Trees wins that test every time”

Next In Natural plans to put its full team behind Three Trees and connect it with Chameleon Cold Brew, the organic coffee brand it acquired earlier this year, as reported by BevNET. The two brands will explore collaborations built around morning coffee, combining Chameleon’s cold brew with Three Trees’ frothing milks.

“Shoppers are reading labels more closely than ever, and Three Trees wins that test every time. Our Original is two ingredients, organic almonds and water, with four times the almonds. That’s not a marketing claim, it’s the product. Three Trees was my family’s go-to long before this deal. We’re honored to carry Jenny’s vision forward and share it with a lot more households,” stated Jeff Lichtenstein, founder and CEO of Next In Natural.

Eight milks and a milk tea line

Founder Jenny Eu started Three Trees in her kitchen and sold its first products at San Francisco farmers’ markets. The brand now produces eight plant-based milks, including oil-free and unsweetened options and flavors such as Black Sesame and Pistachio, and in 2025 it added bottled milk teas in Matcha, Jasmine, Oolong and Classic varieties. Three Trees products are stocked by retailers including Whole Foods, Sprouts and Target.

Next In Natural COO Kristine Laurel said both portfolio brands will draw on the same internal teams. She stated, “Great coffee deserves great milk. Three Trees and Chameleon were made for each other. Our shared marketing, R&D and business development teams let both brands scale symbiotically while keeping Jenny’s quality-first mission front and center.”

Eu explained, “Next In Natural’s mission of helping make the world a better place, organically, really resonated with me. They share my obsession with best-in-class products and my respect for the people who carry and drink them. Their team will help put Three Trees in front of many more people who care about what’s in their glass.”
