Daily Harvest Releases Three Limited-Edition Smoothies Tied to World Cup

Share

US plant-based food company Daily Harvest has launched three limited-edition smoothies timed to coincide with the FIFA World Cup, which is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico this summer. The products are available exclusively through the company’s website.

The three smoothies each take a different host nation as their reference point. Cherry Pie Protein, inspired by American county fair flavors, contains 15 grams of plant-based protein. Blueberry Maple draws on Canadian ingredients, using maple syrup as its primary sweetener. Mango Chile takes a sweet and spicy approach, referencing Mexican street food traditions.

The products are available individually or as a bundled “Hat Trick 3-Pack” priced at $19.99. They will not be available in retail stores.

Sweepstakes and travel prizes

Daily Harvest is running an accompanying sweepstakes beginning June 15, offering destination travel prizes in each of the three host countries. Grand prize packages include a stay at a lakeside cottage in Ontario’s Muskoka region, a New York City trip, and a Puerto Vallarta beach getaway. Additional prizes include $500 travel gift cards and Daily Harvest gift cards. The sweepstakes is open to US residents aged 18 and older.

CEO Ricky Silver stated, “This summer, the world’s eyes will be on the three host nations of North America, and we wanted to celebrate the best way we know how: through delicious food powered by organic fruits and vegetables. Each of these countries brings something extraordinary to the table, and that inspired us to capture those flavors in a cup.”
