The fast-casual salad concept Original ChopShop has a new CEO.

Kyle Frederick — who has been with the Dallas-based chain for a decade, most recently as chief operating officer — was named CEO on Monday. He succeeds Jason Morgan, who is transitioning to an advisory role after 10 years with the brand, the company said.

“What started as three shops in Phoenix is now 30 locations across four markets, and I think ChopShop’s best days are ahead,” said Morgan in a statement. “I’m proud of everything our team has built over the last 10 years, and I’m excited about where Kyle will take it.”

“I’ll be in his corner as an advisor,” Morgan added, “and I’m ready to watch this team continue to do big things.”

Frederick joined ChopShop in 2016 and previously held leadership roles at Zoës Kitchen. As COO at Original ChopShop, he has helped direct growth under parent company Mac Haik Enterprises.

Original ChopShop was founded in 2013 in Scottsdale, Arizona, and now has 30 units in Arizona, Texas, and Georgia.

“The last 10 years proved what Original ChopShop can be. The next 10 are about showing how far we can take it,” said Frederick, in a statement. “I’m grateful to Jason for his leadership and for building such a strong foundation. We’ll keep investing in our people, our restaurants and the communities we serve, while bringing Feel Good Food to even more guest.”
