Mod Pizza is making several changes to its menu, introducing new signature recipes and what it calls “simplified sizing.” The updates launch on Aug. 24 and were driven by guest feedback.

The new items include:

Carnivore pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, mild sausage, ground beef, and bacon.

Veg Out pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, mushroom, green pepper, red onion rings, black olives, diced tomato, and oregano.

MODgherita pizza with red sauce, chopped garlic, mozzarella, parmesan, seasoned sliced tomatoes, and basil.

Firebird pizza with olive oil, Buffalo sauce, mozzarella, gorgonzola, cheddar, and grilled chicken with a Buffalo sauce finish.

Smoke Show pizza with BBQ sauce, mozzarella, cheddar, diced chicken, bacon, red onions, cilantro, and a BBQ sauce finish.

Mediterranean salad with a mixed spring greens base, topped with olive oil, red wine vinegar, feta, black olives, roasted red peppers, diced cucumbers, chickpeas, and oregano.

Mod is also introducing a new shareable dessert pizza — the CinnaMOD — made with a buttery base, cinnamon sugar, salted caramel, and vanilla icing. Mod is also adding Pumpkin Spice and Pink Vanilla Cake Pops to the dessert lineup for the fall season.

Finally, for a limited time, the chain is launching the Spicy Thai Pizza, featuring a new sweet-and-spicy Thai chile finishing sauce, as well as grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, jalapeños, garlic rub, cilantro, asiago, and mozzarella cheese. This is the company’s first limited-time menu item in three years to feature a new ingredient.

In a statement, Vice President of Marketing Charae Carter said loyal customers like having the ability to customize a meal and this menu evolution makes their ordering experience “even more intuitive,” while also adding new flavors and items.

“The result is a dining experience that’s even easier to navigate while delivering the customization and quality that have defined Mod since day one,” Carter said.

This menu overhaul comes as Mod forges a turnaround following several tough years. In 2024, the chain sold to Elite Restaurant Group after closing a significant number of locations. In 2025, it shed nearly 11% of sales and another 33 locations, according to Technomic.

In addition to its menu updates, Mod is also launching a back-to-school local marketing initiative. Through Nov. 15, school-affiliated organizations can host fundraising events at participating Mod locations, with the top three fundraising groups each receiving an additional $1,000 donation. Every participating organization will also be entered into a sweepstakes for another chance to win a $1,000 donation.
