The list is created from votes by CNN readers with Taiwan beating off the closest competition of The Philippines and Italy placed in second and third respectively.
A mix of Min Nan, Teochew and Hokkien Chinese communities with some Japanese cuisine for good measure, Taiwan is certainly an exciting destination for gourmands.
